Plan to Cut Weapons Programs Disputed

You have got to be kidding me on this one.

The defense industry and its supporters argue that the proposals by Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates will increase unemployment during a historic economic crisis. Why, they ask, would President Obama push hundreds of billions in stimulus spending to create jobs only to propose weapons cuts that would eliminate tens of thousands of them?

Why? Because the technologies these people are working on are not needed! I would rather have these people find a new job saving the automobile industry, developing alternative energy, or even put them on welfare, which might cost less money, than to have more worthless fighter jets, more minimially better cargo planes, and missile defense systems that work half of the time! I'm sorry defense contractors, I guess you will have to find another teat to suck on that isn't Lady Liberty's. Oh well. As my old platoon sergeant always said to whiny soldiers, "Boo hoo hoo, wa wa wa, cry me a river!"
